Spinlister, the world leader in peer-to-peer bicycle, snow, and surf rentals, announced today that they have become the Official Bike Share of IRONMAN® for the 2014 race season. Spinlister will activate at the remaining 11 U.S. IRONMAN® races, including the IRONMAN® World Championship presented by GoPro in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i as well as the Subaru IRONMAN® North American Championship Mont-Tremblant, the Subaru IRONMAN® Canada, and the IRONMAN® European Championship Frankfurt triathlons.
"We're thrilled to be a partner of an organization as incredible as IRONMAN®. This is a very exciting time for us and for the triathlon community. As the sport of triathlon continues to grow, I'm glad we can be a useful tool to connect triathletes worldwide," says Spinlister's CEO Marcelo Loureiro.
Spinlister is building a network of triathletes by providing a platform to list and rent bicycles from each other worldwide. "I'm proud to be one of the first triathletes to list bikes on Spinlister. Now that Spinlister's community exists, triathletes no longer have the hassle of shipping bikes for training or race day. Being able to search for a tri bike in any location reduces stress in an already overwhelmingly stressful sport," says Spinlister athlete Chris McCormack.
Spinlister and IRONMAN® are encouraging triathletes to list their bikes at http://www.spinlister.com/list to earn money, eliminate hassle, and help fellow triathletes. Bikes are insured up to $10,000 against theft or damage. If you would like to rent a bike for training or an upcoming IRONMAN® race, visit www.spinlister.com.
