Ryan Giuliano, 30, of Oak Hill, IL, leads the men and Megan James, 43, of Portage, MI, leads the women following their victories in Leon's Triathlon, the first event in the Body Glove SURGE Grand Prix held on June 1st at Wolf Lake Park in Hammond, Indiana.

Leon Wolek founder of Leon's Triathlon, said, "There's no doubt that Chicagoland is the center of the triathlon competition in the United States. The Body Glove SURGE Grand Prix now gives triathletes bragging rights as to who is the fastest competitor in our area. I congratulate Ryan and Megan for their outstanding performances this past weekend, as well as the other age group winners listed below. I will be cheering them on."

The Body Glove SURGE Grand Prix is a unique competition involving three of the oldest and largest triathlons in the U. S., which is now part of the Chicagoland Tri Series. This includes Leon's Triathlon, the ITU World Triathlon on June 27 and the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon on August 24. The Body Glove SURGE Grand Prix will offer prize money and gear totaling over $3,200 to the three male and female winners with the fastest time, as well as winners in specific age groups. To be eligible, triathletes must complete two of the three international Olympic courses, with one of the races being Leon's.

Dr. Robert Portman, president of PacificHealth Laboratories, the creator of Body Glove SURGE, said, "We are tremendously excited to be part of the first Grand Prix. All three of these events are special in their own way and we look forward to seeing the final winners on August 24."
