Beat HITS CEO in Palm Springs, Win a Free 140.6 Entry for 2015

Tom Struzzieri HITS CEOHITS Triathlon Series recently unveiled a unique challenge: All competitors who beat HITS CEO Tom Struzzieri in the Full distance race at the HITS Championship in Palm Springs this December, will Win FREE entry to the same event the following year.

Struzzieri decided to race his next 140.6 at HITS Palm Springs and is excited for the challenge. His foray into triathlon was inspired by accomplished coach and HITS Endurance Race Director, Mark H. Wilson. Wanting to set a powerful example to his three children that fitness and good health are essential ingredients for living the best life possible, Struzzieri asked for training sessions with Wilson for his 50th birthday. Personal accomplishment and overcoming obstacles with the combined experience of a swim, bike and run made the sport his passion and eventually a business interest.

"It's about being competitive, the shared experience, improving your health and fitness, achieving goals--but I want everyone, from seasoned to beginner and those who've never even considered, to experience a HITS Triathlon," said Struzzieri. "The atmosphere at our events is something you can't get anywhere else in the world - participants of all ages and levels come together for the multiple disciplines of this sport."

HITS truly offers A distance for everyone, attracting athletes of all levels and backgrounds to the sport of triathlon. In addition to the Full distance race, the HITS Championship, as well as all HITS Triathlon Series events, offers the Open, Sprint, Olympic and Half. Whether watching someone conquer the waters, move up a distance or take their first podium finish - everyone leaves HITS inspired, stronger, more confident and ready for the next.

"A 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run is no small feat for anyone and those who try and complete deserve to be treated accordingly - and they are at our triathlons," said Struzzieri. "But all HITS competitors and volunteers are our lifeblood," he added, "None go unappreciated or unnoticed."

Palm Springs is the crown jewel of HITS' 10-race series and participation is predicted to exceed 1,500 on the December 6-7 weekend.

Course maps for the HITS Championship are available at HitsTriathlonSeries.com. All Full distance athletes will be automatically entered in the "Beat Our CEO" Challenge but must be registered by December 2 and are encouraged to sign up before prices increase by $100 on September 5.
