Kriat, Ascenço & Kraft are Ready to Prove Who is the Fastest


2575 sandpiperMiami FL, February 13, 2013 - We are honored to have Professional Athletes Maxim Kriat, Santiago Ascenço and Nina Kraft attending the season opener of the Club Med 2575 Sandpiper Bay Triathlon on February 24th.

Two time winner of Augusta and second place winner of the Ironman U.S Championship, New York. Maxim was born in Lviv, Ukraine, in 1984. He moved to Clermont, Florida in 2009 in order to pursue his competitive dreams in triathlon. His competitiveness and intensity as an athlete is what makes him a top winner in the industry.

One of the fastest runners in triathlons will take part in the Club Med 2575 Sandpiper, FL; Brazilian Santiago Ascenço. Santiago has matured into a solid threat in any race he starts. He tends to surrender time on the bike, but his ever-improving run has helped him to some impressive results in South America races. As Brazil's highest placed finisher in Ironman Brazil Florianopolis on 2010; Ascenço also won Ironman 70.3 Brazil 2009, and was fourth in Ironman 70.3 Pucón (Chile) 2010.

With a German background Nina Kraft has established herself as the second oldest female athlete to win an Ironman. She has won 8 Ironman races as well as challenge Roth and the Danish Long- Distance Championships. In addition, she has been the runner up at the Ironman World Championships in Kona and was crowned championship of the 2011 Ironman Louisville.

South Florida athletes will be well represented in the elite and top age groupers as Frank Green will be there. Frank Green is a two-time winner of the City Bikes Ironman 70.3 (50-54 age group), and 5th place finisher at the 2011 Dextro World Championships Beijing in the International distance (50-54 age group). Carlos Dolabella, winner of the 2011 Dextro World Championships Beijing in the sprint distance (50-54 age group) will be there, as well, to claim that he is the fastest!

The distances for the Club Med 2575 Sandpiper Bay Triathlon are: .75K (.46 mile) + 20K (12.4 miles) + 5K (3.1 miles).
