HITS Championship Returns to Palm Springs in Dec.

HITSTriSeriesDistImg.jpgAfter two years of swim, bike, run successes, the HITS Championship is in Palm Springs, CA to stay. HITS, Inc. recently announced that the event will return to Lake Cahuilla Park again for its year-end event December 7-8, 2013.

"We love this location and it is the perfect site for our Championship," said race director Mark H. Wilson. "It has been so awesome to see HITS Triathlon Series evolve and grow during 2012 and we are really excited about our 2013 race schedule."

Claimed as the crown jewel of the HITS Triathlon Series, the HITS Championship in Palm Springs offers beautiful vistas in a dry and sunny climate - perfect conditions for a December triathlon. The courses are flat, fast and awesomely scenic!

In 2013, HITS will again offer five distances at the Championship - Open, Sprint, Olympic, Half and Full - and registration is currently open to only the first 500 athletes in each distance. After 500, athletes will be required to qualify for a slot. Qualifying specifications will be announced when each distance reaches 500 athletes.

Due to the popular 2013 HITS pricing structure and only 500 open slots, it is expected that all five offered distances will sell out before race day. As an incentive for early registration, all athletes who complete their registration by Aug. 3, 2013 will receive 50% off the regular registration fee.

Registration rates prior to Aug. 3, 2013 are as follows:
- Open Individual Registration Fee: $25
- Sprint Individual Registration Fee: $60
- Olympic Individual Registration Fee: $100
- Half Individual Registration Fee: $150
- Full Individual Registration Fee: $300
