2012 Best of the U.S. State Qualifier Triathlons

Best of the U.S. logoThe Best of the U.S. (BOUS), now in it's eight year is delighted to spotlight the state qualifying triathlon events for the upcoming season and announces that it's National Championship is moving to a spring time race in 2013. With that, the 2012 qualifying season kicks off on March 25th with the Great Clermont Triathlon in Florida.

The Best of the U.S. Triathlon Series shines the spotlight on the talent-rich field of amateur men and women their home state at the Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Championship. The fastest male and female amateurs from each of the state qualifiers earns the right to represent themselves and their state at championship race.

Under the new format, the BOUS qualifying season will stretch as far into autumn as necessary to accommodate all 50 states. In other words, you will qualify throughout the Summer / Fall of 2012 and race the 2012 Championship in the Spring of 2013. So you will be able to plan your travel and training well in advance, and kickoff your next season with your best, fresh, international-distance racing at the Best of the U.S. Championship.

The hope is that athletes will have less conflicts with late season races and less last minute travel plans so to be able to make it to the Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Championship for an overall exciting race for all.

So where's the 2012 BOUS Championship that will take place next year? Well they can't say just yet. Series organizers are committed to moving the Championship location to quality races at appropriate venues around the country and are currently in discussions with several excellent host candidates. They will make the announcement as soon as possible.
