Here is our look at some of the triathlon finisher medals of 2011 from around the world. Some people really had to work hard to earn theirs. Most triathletes in 2011 received one, if they did not DNF or the race offered one, heck even famous people earned medals in 2011. Here is Richard Branson with his from the Virgin Active London Triathlon.
The 2011 triathlon finisher medals we saw came in all different sizes, colors and designs. There are some cool looking ones from 2011, but I'm partial / biased, I really like the one I earned from the Revolution3 Costa Rica triathlon. Some people got one with a dinosaur on theirs; some can wear theirs with their pants as a belt buckle, heck there was even one (bad picture) that was even a bottle opener.
Yeah, yeah, some people like finisher medals, some don't. Some wear it proudly, display it with pride, some don't care. Some are unique some are just plain boring. Some are big, some are small. Some races are known for theirs, some are not or don't even have one. Some organizers go all out on a design; some just use the same design from the previous year. Some are worthy enough to be shown off some are just thrown away or handed down to their kids. Whatever is the case for some it's a memento to remember the unique, challenging or conquest one endured to cross the finish line.
