234 Warriors challenged Poseidon's rage in the first ever Vineyard Warrior Triathlon held on September 11, 2011 on Martha's Vineyard. Many succeeded, many failed; falling prey to the gruesome Skylla and Kharybdis who guard the exit to the 1 mile swim. Nevertheless they will all be immortalized as Argonauts for their brave attempt, so long as they compete in uninterrupted fashion from here forward.

You may join the second Vineyard Warrior battle to be held on September 9, 2012. Will you have what it takes to overcome the monsters? If you do conquer the swim, there is still a 25 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run before completing your Odyssey.
The legend of this great race has reached the four corners of the Earth thanks to the winged feet of mercury, and so we will add a Sprint and Relay divisions to satisfy the thirst of so many brave souls. If any Argonaut shall fail to meet the challenge a second time, their seat will become vacant, and you might be able to win their former glory. The select group of heroes known as the Argonauts will be able to wear the Argonaut pin of distinction, register at any future Odyssey TriSport event with a 15% discount, receive entry to the Argonaut only pre race dinner, an Argonaut transition towel, and much more.
