TriGrandPrix is a bold, exciting and unique world class championship of triathlon experiences over varying distances. The goal is to create a safe, professionally organized, world class championship of triathlon experience for professionals and amateur triathletes from around the world.
The TriGrandPrix 2011 Championship series will host six experiences in four different countries, the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland and France. The events will feature Half Iron or Olympic Distance triathlon events for the Championship but will also offer athletes Sprint Distance triathlons as well as Kids events.
This coming Sunday, May 22nd TriGrandPrix will launch the first of its six 2011 International Triathlon Experiences with TriGrandPrix UK at Emberton Park. The triathlon is being run in partnership with Big Cow Events on the same course as the National Half Championship later this summer.
Age Group Triathletes will have the unique opportunity to race directly with international professional Triathlete stars such as Eimear Mullan, Julia Grant, Kelly Crickmore and Lucy Gossage. In the men's field, we will see British pro Jonathan Hotchkiss racing against fellow countryman Tom Sturdy and Spanish super stars Raul Amatriain and Xabi Boneta.
The 2011 TriGrandPrix UK Experience will include a Sprint distance triatlon, a Middle distance triathlon and also kid's fun events transforming Emberton Park into a Triathlon Festival.
The festivities kick-off on Saturday, May 21st at Emberton Country Park, a 200-acre country park on the Great Ouse River, located near the village of Emberton, near the town of Milton Keynes.
