Here is another great way to see, experience and race in the exotic country of Costa Rica in Central America. A triathlon is set to take place in June in Tamarindo, a town located on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Province of Guanacaste.

The main event of the weekend will be the Tamarindo 1/3 Costa Rica Man triathlon which will feature distances of 1.3km Swim, 60km Bike and 14km Run or about a .8mi Swim, 37.5mi Bike and a 8.75mi Run. The event will be staged at the Hotel Tamarindo Diria, in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Other events set to take place are the Sprint Distance triathlon consisting of a 650me Swim, 22km Bike and a 4.5km Run, as well as a fun Kids Triathlon (400me Swim, 10km Bike, 2km Run or 200me Swim, 5km Bike, 1km Run).
A total prize purse of $7,000 USD will be distributed to Elite Male and Female athletes through 5th place. Trophies and sporting goods will be given to the first 3 places in each category as well as medals to all finishers.
