The TriStar111 brand continue to grow with the addition of the new TriStar111 Berlin event in July, the second triathlon race to be hosted in Germany under the TriStar label. The new triathlon joins the city of Worms hosting a TriStar111 event in Germany. Race organizers have recently added new races to the schedule in Croatia, Spain and France as well.
The new TriStar111 Berlin race will be held in Germany's Capital in July and offer triathletes the opportunity to race the unique triathlon distances of a 1km Swim, 100km Bike and a 10km Run.
The 1km swim will take place in the Spree River at Treptow Park in the east of Berlin and include swimming around the "Island of Youth" (Insel der Jugend). The 100km cycling will lead participants westwards through the city to the former airfields of Tempelhof Airport, which will be circled in five laps. The concluding 10km run will take the triathletes around the airfields one final time now by foot and then into the Hasenheide park. The Finishline will be located at Tempelhof Airport where once "Raisinbombers" and commercial aircraft landed (subject to governmental approval).
