H3 Publications, which already publishes decline magazine and ROAD Magazine will be entering the triathlon specific magazine arena. tri-magazine will be unique in the sense that it will be an all digital publication, available on your computer, iPad, iPhone and smartphone only. The inaugural May 2011 issue is now available for FREE to readers by subscribing/registering on www.tri-magazine.net.
Tri-magazine will be the first and only completely digital, completely free magazine devoted to triathlon. The magazine venture will be headed up by AJ and Courtney Johnson as the Editors. The new format will keep you engaged as will the fresh content they promise to deliver. Each month tri-magazine will bring you the best in training, racing and insight from all distances and all levels, so there's bound to be something for you to check out. Between publications, you can continue to check www.tri-magazine.net for daily triathlon news.
"As you flip through this issue, you'll immediately see what sets us apart. Every month, you can page through to view articles, slideshows, videos and more. We include these to add to the reader experience, to show you more of the race, product or athlete featured. In some cases it adds a crucial element of detail."
"While the format is cool, the content is what makes any magazine. Our goal at tri is simple - to cover training, racing and insight (tri, get it?) from the entire spectrum of triathlon. Triathlon and triathletes should not be put into one simple category. For every newbie, there is a hard-core veteran. For every Ironman specialist, there is a sprint distance speed demon. We will bring you tips, events, issues, athletes and entertainment from all over the sport, not just one distance, one continent or through one lens."
You can read the tri-magazine online via the viewer they have or download a PDF version for later reading. Reading the magazine online via the online viewer will offer you the additional features no magazine has, interactivity. You will be able to click on certain icons to view a video, listen to audio or view additional pictures. The magazine is FREE, which means advertising will be a key component.
We had a chance to check it out last night. It looks good and crisp with a variety of content! We downloaded it for later viewing, in PDF format and discovered the file was 107MB and had 104 pages. You should check it out to see what else the magazine has to offer. Visit www.tri-magazine.net/subscribe.php
