Guys, if you are in the area you should check out this unique triathlon event taking place in April in the Richmond, Virginia area. If you are looking for an incentive to try harder and go faster then this would be the event for you. Sorry female triathletes, this race is for men only.
Triathlon: Chasing Chics Triathlon
When: Sunday, April 10, 2011 @ 8:00 AM
Where: Tuckahoe Family YMCA, Henrico, Virginia
This is the first all men's triathlon in Virginia! Race organizer Richmond Multisports is looking for 300 men that will chase 6 elite female triathletes for a $500 cash prize. The females will have a 5-10 minute handicap on the male field. The fastest male or female, based on clock time, will win the cash. Then event will also feature a best stache and sexy legs contest.
It's starts at the Tuckahoe YMCA indoor pool where racers swim 300 meters. The 13 mile loop bike course is rolling and leaves from behind the YMCA and heads west on River Road and back on Patterson. The 5k run is flat through adjoining neighborhoods. Race swag will be male specific! How many chics can you catch?
The triathlon event benefits the Y-USA and LIVESTRONG partnership. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a 12 week program designed for and with cancer survivors to work on rebuilding their spirit, mind and body after cancer treatment. The program is FREE for cancer survivors and it includes a 12 week membership to the YMCA of Greater Richmond. The money that is raised helps cover the costs of the program for the cancer survivors.
If you think you have what it takes to chase down some female chics, then don't forget to register and race in the inaugural Chasing Chics Triathlon. Visit the event website for details.
