The TriRock Triathlon Series from the Competitor Group was announced late last year and featured a debut race in San Diego, CA. Now in 2011 the TriRock Triathlon Series is set to ramp up the series with additional triathlon races across the country and a new triathlon distance option.
The 2011 TriRock Triathlon Series will offering beginner friendly Sprint Distance triathlon races along with the new option of an Olympic Distance triathlon event. As they do with their marathon series, a unique opportunity for participants will be introduction of music along the swim, bike and run courses.

The events have been described as premier "entertainment" triathlon events which feature live entertainment at the "red carpet" finish line and music on the course that will keep you moving and grooving! Race day festivities include a post event party with beer tasting, a family fun zone, and a "splash and dash" for the kids. The weekend would kick-off with an onsite expo featuring vendors, product sampling and pre-race clinics held on by seasoned triathlon veterans.
Permits and approvals are still pending, so the schedule is subject to change.
