USA Productions Adds New Distance & Events in CA



usaproductionsnewraces.jpgCalifornia based race organization USA Productions adds new triathlon distance and events to the 2011 triathlon schedule. The company's triathlon events take place in and around the Bay Area in central California.

They are introducing two new long course triathlons to the schedule with a new unique total distance of 66 miles. The new distance will feature a 1 mile Swim, a 56 mile Bike and a 9 mile Run. It's longer than an Olympic Distance race and similar to a Half Iron, but with a shorter swim and run. In 2011 they will be adding the new long course triathlons to their existing events in San Jose, CA as well as in Folsom, CA.

Also added to the schedule is the new California Sprint and Olympic triathlons in the Pleasanton / Livermore area at Shadow Cliffs Recreation Area. These new races will add to the USA Productions Tri Club Challenge series of races. A new Sprint Distance options has also been added to the existing event in Folsom, CA.

Distance: 1.5k Swim - 40k Bike - 10k Run

Triathlon: Folsom Long Course Triathlon **NEW**
When: Saturday, August 13, 2011

Distance: 1 Mile Swim - 56 Mile Bike - 9 Mile Run

Triathlon: Folsom Sprint Triathlon **NEW**
When: Saturday, August 13, 2011

Distance: 1/2 Mile Swim - 16 Mile Bike - 3.1 Mile Run

The 2011 schedule will now have 9 triathlon events of various distances from May to August for triathletes to choose from in the Bay Area. You can find more info on these new triathlon events or their existing events at www.usaproductions.org.

Organizers also produce a Tri Club Challenge Series with over $4,500 in prize money at stake. The challenge will include all triathlon races in the USA Productions schedule and will be broken down into five divisions (Age Group, Youth, Clydesdale/Athena, Elite and Physically Challenged) and three distances (Sprint, Olympic, and Long Course). Total prize purse is over $4,500 for the winning tri teams over the nine triathlon race series and championship.
