Revolution3 has announced the addition of two new races in 2011 with it's new Rev3 South Carolina event in Anderson, South Carolina. The Rev3 South Carolina will host an Olympic Rev race on Saturday, October 8, 2011 and a Half Rev triathlon on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Pro-triathletes and amateurs alike will be competing for large cash prizes and both have the opportunity to earn points towards the series cash bonus!
The Olympic Rev event will consists of a .9 mile Swim, 24 mile Bike and a 6.2 mile Run. The half iron distance race will feature the standard distances of a 1.2 mile Swim, 56 mile Bike and a 13.1 mile Run.

Anderson, SC is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of beautiful Lake Hartwell in an area commonly known as "The Upstate". Anderson is within a two hour drive of two major metropolitan areas - Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC.
This will be the fourth triathlon event for Revolution3 and the third one in North America alone. They already hosts events of various distances in Connecticut, Tennessee and Ohio. Earlier this year they extended their reach with a new triathlon event in Costa Rica.
Additional information and registration options for the new Rev3 South Carolina event should be up by October 15th, 2010, the day registration opens.
The swim will start from the shores of Darwin Wright Park on Lake Hartwell. The bike course is more than fair and will take bikers through the lightly traveled Anderson roads. Athletes on the bike will be greeted with some rolling terrain and some fun, short climbs that will test their leg strength! The run will start from the Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center and will highlight downtown Anderson! The run will be slightly rolling and can easily produce some fast times for the well prepared athlete!
