CHICAGO, October 25, 2010 - You may have seen the coverage from the big race in Kona, but ZumTri is bringing a new perspective to the race -- as a dynamic virtual replay. ZumTri created a new-to-the-world virtual replay of the professional race at the 2010 Ford Ironman World Championship to demonstrate the new features of its interactive race software. The proprietary technology converts chip-timing results into dynamic race infographics. In the demo, you can watch the race replay, complete with swimming, cycling and running animations.

Click here to watch the ZumTri virtual race. Click here to see Chris McCormack's win against the other podium finishers and the field. Click here to watch Mirinda Carfrae's win against the female podium finishers.

To use the software, enter the name of the pro triathlete you would like to watch, or select a podium finisher from the drop-down menu. Click "watch" and see the race unfold. This race visualization shows five splits on the bike and four splits on the run, so you can get a good idea of how the race progressed.

The following are new features in this release:
- Zum Zoom - Automatically tracks and zooms into the virtual race
- New Entry Screen - The first page of the application is redesigned to be easier. You can now select the overall and age group winners.
- Mouse over the animations or race dots to identify an athlete.

Beyond the race graphics, participants can also look at several charts and graphs to help you analyze your ranking for each leg, and where you fit in the overall time of the race. Athletes can also bookmark and share their race results through common social networking services.

ZumTri is available for sponsors and race organizers as a pre-race version, live-version and post-race version. If you want to see ZumTri at your next triathlon or marathon, contact Zum LLC at info@zumtri.com.
