Earlier this year, the Competitor Group, the creators of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series announced an all-new Sprint Distance Triathlon Series called the TriRock Series.
At the time it was expected to consist of 3 sprint distance triathlon events in 2010 across the country. (New TriRock Sprint Triathlon Series Announced) The cities included Dallas, Vancouver and Orlando.
In May the city of San Diego was added to the series on September 12, 2010, at Embarcadero Marina Park South.
Now comes word that the series has been scaled back for 2010 with only the San Diego race taking place. The TriRock Series will then expanded in 2011 with races in the cities of Dallas & Orlando.
