Europe gets a new long course triathlon race. The new Extreme Man 113, a Half Iron Distance Triathlon event set to take place in the Mediterranean this September on the quite Balearic Island of Menorca. A destination triathlon race for those looking for something out of the ordinary this racing season. It's being put on by Win Sports Factory who organize other triathlon races across Spain.

The new point-to-point triathlon event will start in Fornells on the northern side of the island and finish in Maó (Mahón), the capital on the eastern end of the island. The event will consist of a 1.9km Swim, 90km Bike, 21.1km Run and feature a course designed by 4X Ironman France and Ironman 70.3 Monaco winner Marcel Zamora. Athletes will get to see the beauty and experience the challenges the island has to offer.
Menorca is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain. It is the least overrun and most tranquil of the Balearic Islands.
