Bozzone, McGlone Win Inaugural Ironman 70.3 U.S. Pro Championship

im703usprochampolgo.jpgTerenzo Bozzone and Samantha McGlone win today's inaugural Ironman 70.3 U.S. Pro Championship in Galveston, Texas against an the incredibly competitive field that included at least four Ironman World Champions, Olympic silver and bronze medalists and last year's runner-up from the Ford Ironman World Championship. Bozzone and McGlone get their fair share part of the early season $75,000 prize purse today. Tim O'Donnell and Amanda Stevens claim a $5,000 bonus for being the top American finishers today.

The Ironman 70.3 U.S. Pro Championship took place in conjunction with the running of Ironman 70.3 Texas, formerly known as Ironman 70.3 Lone Star. The race was staged on historic Galveston Island, along the Texas gulf coast.
