Alexander & Steffen Win, this Time in Singapore


ironman 70.3 singaporeCraig Alexander and Caroline Steffen take their second consecutive Ironman 70.3 titles of 2010 with today's victory in Singapore. Just last month both athletes were victorious at Ironman 70.3 Geelong.

Craig Alexander didn't have the fastest swim, nor did he have the fastest bike today, but he did have the fastest run which helped win his second consecutive Ironman 70.3 Singapore title today. He overtook Stephen Bayliss on the run for his victory today, Bayliss faded and finished in fifth place today. James Cunnama and Aaron Farlow weren't far behind Alexander battled for second and third place.

Caroline Steffen who was just in Abu Dhabi last weekend and took fourth place comes to Singapore for the first time and ends up over powering defending champ Jodie Swallow for the victory. This is the second Ironman 70.3 title for TeamTBB member Steffen in 2010. Swallow couldn't hold on against the flying Steffen and ends up finishing in second place, eight minutes behind first place Steffen.

Over 1,400 athletes from around the world started today's fourth running Ironman 70.3 Singapore.
