Despite Hiccups Alexander Wins Australian Long Course Championships

australia long course championshipAustralian native and Ironman World Champ Craig Alexander wins the Australian Long Course Championship despite some hiccups out on the course. Alexander maintains his composure and beats out rival Pete Jacobs. It was reported that he was in a lead group of swimmers that was led in wrong direction by officials and then overcame two wrong turns on the bike course. This is Alexander's second half iron distance victory of 2010. Two weeks ago he successfully defended his Ironman 70.Geelong title.

On the women's side, Carrie Lester put it a solid performance and finishes with a commanding five minute lead over Pip Taylor.
