The Best of the U.S. Triathlon Series shines the spotlight on the talent-rich field of amateur men and women from around the country and brings them together to compete against each other and as a team representing their home state at the Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Championship. The fastest male and female resident amateur at each of the state qualifiers earns the right to represent themselves and their state at championship race.
The 6th Annual Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Championship triathlon event returns to Mission Viejo, CA. Again it will be hosted by the Orange County International Triathlon which is set for October, 10th, 2010. The triathlon distance for the championship race will be Swim 1.5km - Bike 40km - Run 10km.
"The response of the athletes to the course at Orange County Triathlon was overwhelming," says BOUS co-director Jerry MacNeil. "This was the most challenging, competitive course yet."
