Davis, CA, December 19, 2009 -- JammyCo is pleased to announce that First Time Triathlon (1stTimeTri), the company’s popular iPhone and iPod Touch app, is now available in the Android Market. 1stTimeTri is the first triathlon-related app available for the Android Market. The App sells for US $9.99.
Designed by a former professional triathlete and triathlon coach, 1stTimeTri provides a 12-week workout plan to prepare an individual for a sprint (short-distance) triathlon. “Triathlons can be tough to prepare for on your own,” said JammyCo President Jamima Wolk. “You have to train in three different disciplines and put them all together on race day. 1stTimeTri can serve as a helpful and affordable coach.”
1stTimeTri offers a daily training schedule based on one’s level of expertise in each sport. It includes comprehensive training resources, covering such topics as proper form, equipment, race strategy, workout guidelines, and nutrition. It also offers over 20 invaluable “Triathlon Tips From A Pro.”
Wolk started competing as a professional in 2000 and retired in 2007. Her race resume includes everything from sprint to Ironman distance races. Additional developmental support was provided by Adrian Iley and Bruce Wolk.
Wolk’s idea of launching the app sprung not only from her interest in triathlons, but also from the fact that there are hardly any triathlon apps out there. “In deciding to launch this app, I saw that there really weren’t any comprehensive, easy-to-use, and affordable training program apps for beginning triathletes,” said Wolk. “1stTimeTri accomplishes this.”
