A couple of weeks ago we reported the news about a new iron distance triathlon race in the UK to be held in Nottingham on August 8th, 2010 (Another Iron Distance Event in the UK Announced). At the time, there was no real event name attached to the One Step Beyond Promotions triathlon event, so we called it "Nottingham Iron Distance Triathlon". Now comes word that the new iron distance triathlon event in the UK has a name and it will be called "The Outlaw Triathlon"

The UK's premier 2010 Iron Distance event will be called The Outlaw Triathlon and those who successfully complete the course will become one of Robin Hood's Outlaws.
The cost has been determined and it will be £179 (around $295 USD). Included within the fee, will be the race entry, exclusive Outlaw medal & race t-shirt, invitation to the pre race pasta party, drink voucher for the post event party and various items which will fill your athlete's outlaw goodie bag. Relay Team entries will be accepted at a cost of £220 (around $362 USD). Registration open 1st November 1st!
The event will take place in conjunction with Nottingham's Riverside Festival. The Riverside Festival is a unique Festival that covers a distance of one mile along the banks of the River Trent, at Victoria Embankment, adjacent to the historical Trent Bridge.
