Brian Duffy of Pennsylvania and Bethany Handley of Oklahoma are the newly crowned Best of the U.S. National Champions. The Best of the U.S. Championship brings together the nation's best amateurs triathletes to race in an elite, head-to-head, non-age-graded exhibition-style open-course environment. The competition is fierce, and brings out each athlete's "best game".
This year's championship Olympic distance triathlon race was held in conjunction with the Orange County International Triathlon in Mission Viejo, CA.

Team Wisconsin comprised of Mark Harms and Cindi Bannink was victorious in the Fastest State Team competition, edging out Team Pennsylvania (Brian Duffy / Beth Schutt) by 22 seconds. Mark and Cindi from Wisconsin placed 3rd in last year's Fastest State Team competition.
