Revolution3 Triathlon has rounded out it 2010 race series with the addition of a new Olympic distance triathlon event in Knoxville, TN. This dynamic venue will serve as the Kickoff event for the new 2010 Revolution3 Triathlon Series. Just last month Revolution3 announced the addition of a Full Iron Distance triathlon event in Sandusky, OH (link). These two new triathlon events give the fairly new race company lead by Heather Gollnick a broad reach in the triathlon market, with race distances of Olympic, Half and Full Iron Distance.
The new triathlon event in Knoxville will also include a Half Rev race but the “Feature” race will be the Rev3 Olympic Distance Triathlon. Professional Athletes will compete for $50,000 in prize money while Age-Group athletes will race for a slew of fabulous prizes from great sponsors. Both Professional Athletes and Age-Groupers will also have the ability to earn Series Points in the 2010 Revolution3 Triathlon Series. The Half Rev triathlon event will be the same weekend but Age-Group athletes will only be racing for prizes and will NOT earn Series Points for this race.
Athletes will experience the vitality of Knoxville’s downtown area, featuring Volunteer Landing and the University of Tennessee with a finish in the heart of downtown's famed World’s Fair Park.

Athletes will exit the water across from famed Neyland Stadium and begin their bike ride out of the city and into the beautiful rural countryside. Those competing in the Half Rev will venture out toward the base of the Smokey Mountains. Athletes will return to the city of Knoxville and transition onto their respective runs through the University of Tennessee and adjacent neighborhoods culminating with a spectacular finish in the heart of World’s Fair Park.
