New Triathlon Community Website Launched in the UK

wearetriathlon.co.ukA new triathlon community website has been launched in the United Kingdom by Mazda, a major sponsor of the sport of triathlon in Britain who sponsors the London Triathlon and Blenheim Triathlon. The new website WeAreTriathlon.co.uk will contain information, news and advice for beginners, committed amateurs and professionals along with tips and articles. The central focus of the site is to become a central resource for anyone who is interested in the sport.

Visitors to the website will also be able to read blog entries and interviews with Mazda sponsored elite triathletes Tim Don, Olly Freeman and Hollie Avil. The site currently has the latest interview with Mazda sponsored pro triathlete Tim Don, who discusses his experience at the Beijing Olympics. The site also has a Buddy Finder so you can find someone to train with or just find friends for support in your triathlon quest.

The site is not only for those people interested in the two Mazda sponsored triathlon races it's for everyone in the country. The Events calendar has other British Triathlon Federation sanctioned races as well as running races.

To ensure that Britain continues to be internationally successful, Mazda is supporting triathlon from the grass-roots upwards through the Talent Identification (ID) Programme, run by Mazda in partnership with the British Triathlon Federation.

Talent ID coaches are touring sports clubs throughout the UK to identify young people, aged 12 to 18, with talent and potential in the three triathlon disciplines. Those selected are being trained and nurtured to enable them to become the best of British talent in this sport.
