Trek Bicycle Women’s Specific Design division has signed up to be the title sponsor of a new nationwide Women’s Triathlon Series.
The TREK Women's Triathlon Series will consist of sprint distance races which will consist of a 1/2 mile Swim; 12 mile Bike; 3 mile Run. It's anticipated that the new series will reach 12 markets, including California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. Selected cities within the Series will also include "youth focused" triathlons. It appears that the new series will replace and upgrade the previous series called the Danskin Women's Triathlon Series which only had 8 races on the schedule in 2008.

- Anaheim, CA
- New York Metro (Sandy Hook, NJ)
- Austin, TX
- Orlando, FL
- Denver, CO
- Pleasant Prairie, WI
- New England (Webster, MA)
- Seattle, WA

Triathlon legend Sally Edwards, Hall of Fame triathlete, CEO of HeartZones USA, and best-selling author of 22 books on triathlon and fitness training, is the Spokeswoman for the new Series. Sally was formerly the Spokeswoman for the Danskin Women's Triathlon Series
