Registration opened on June 25th, 2008 for the 2009 running of Ironman Germany (Registration for Ironman Germany 2009 opens June 25, 2008), earlier than normal, actually even before this year’s race which takes place this weekend. It didn't take long before registration was closed at 2000 participants. It took less than 12 hours for this popular European Ironman race to fill up.

If you missed your chance to register for Ironman Germany 2009, you have another opportunity as organizers have only temporarily closed registration. As the norm is, registration will open the day after this year's race on July 7th, 2008 at 2:00 PM for an additional 500 triathletes. It is not clear at this time if the time stated (2:00 PM) is Frankfurt time or not as we have not received a reply to our email inquiry.
