Potts Defends 70.3 California Title with Victory

Over 1,900 athletes gathered today in Oceanside, California for the 2008 running of the Ironman 70.3 California triathlon.

Andy Potts who lead all day was passed by Craig Alexander with about 400 meters to go but Potts surged past Alexander in the last 25 meters to defend his Ironman 70.3 California title. On the women's side Erika Csomor of Hungary used her fast bike split to set herself up for the victory over Leanda Cave.
