It's scheduled to have a fly-over by a WWII Stearman airplane at the swim start, an Armed Forces Competition with awards for the fastest active or reserve Military athlete and have a Challenged Veteran Athlete program for those who will be competing in their first triathlon. All active or reserve Military personnel, Challenged Athletes Foundation athletes, and non-sponsored challenged athletes will receive a discount at registration.
It will have a combined purse prize of $22,000; $20,000 for the pro's to split and a cool $2,000 for the amateur elite division.
