Ohio based Fat Rabbit Racing, an event management company specializing in the production of multisport events has announced the creation of a new triathlon series, The Battle of Ohio Triathlon & Duathlon Series (BOOTS).

The series is open to all athletes and is designed to welcome the beginner and novice triathletes. The six race series kicks-off in May with the Vineyard LiveWell Triathlon. The series will have Sprint and International distance categories along with Triathlon and Duathlon categories. Awards in the form of cash will be offered in both distance categories and types for both male and female divisions. All series division winners in the 2007 Battle of Ohio Triathlon Series will receive a $90 certificate for a pair of Brooks running shoes from Second Sole Ohio shoe store.

• Vineyard LiveWell Triathlon (sprint triathlon only) - May 26, 2007
• Cincinnati International Triathlon & Sports Festival - June 10, 2007
• Fat Rabbit Racing International Triathlon - June 24, 2007
• Columbus International Triathlon & Sports Festival - July 22, 2007
• Great Lake Escape Triathlon - August 19, 2007
• Powerman Ohio & Mohican Valley Duathlon - September 30, 2007

Participant must purchase the series package or indicate their participation in the series prior to participation in their 2nd event.
