Eden Prairie, MN - February 6, 2007 - SCS Multisport is excited to announce the creation of the Midwest’s first sponsored junior elite triathlon team. Batteries Plus has committed to a multi-year agreement as the corporate title sponsor of the team. Gear West Bike and Triathlon has also signed on as a contributing sponsor. The 2007 team will consist of 3 male and 3 female athletes between the ages of 16 and 20. Athletes will be chosen based upon their performance in three qualifying tests and a personal interview with the team coaches. The official name for the team will be the Batteries Plus Minnesota Junior Elite Team.
